Lali - Spring Drop 1
The first drop of SS25 from Lali launches Tuesday 25th February 6pm GMT.Lali was created in 2015 by designer Kinnari McDevitt and means little darling in Hindi. Kinnari spent her childhood in India, where there was an honest connection to how one's clothing is made. Her mother taught her how to source fabrics from the textile market which would then be tailored into garments that fit her lifestyle - airy cotton voiles for sweltering summer days, sturdy linens for riding bikes and climbing fences, and raw silks for wedding celebrations. From this experience, the idea of Lali's own special collection of clothing grew.
In this first drop we have a beautiful selection of heirloom dresses and rompers inspired by pieces created by Kinnari's mother. Crafted in cotton and handloomed silk with hand embroidered floral and smocking details, these pretty pieces are sure to be loved by children and adults alike. We love how Lali has styled these pieces with Salt-Water sandals for a comfortable summer look.

Introducing the Siena Dress in Opaline Silk, an heirloom piece made to be passed down for generations. Siena features delicate hand-embroidered floral details and detailed hand-faggoting at the straps and chest. Beautifually made from hand-loomed 100% silk.
Meet Luna, an instant Lali classic. The Luna Top in Opaline Linen is made from a linen/cotton blend in medium weight. Vertical pintucks adorn the bodice of the shirt, compete with floral embroidery at the chest and on each sleeve. Each sleeve has a cute ruffle, as does the neckline. Luna has a back keyhole opening with a mother-of-pearl button loop closure. Made from 50% Cotton and 50% linen. Styled with the Paperbag Shorts in Gingersnap.
The Jane Dress in Opaline Silk. Named after Lali's friend and designer Jane, this heirloom piece is inspired by polyflinder dresses from the 1960s. It is also a love letter to Kinnari’s mother. Jane’s silhouette and silk fabric is a nod to the traditional, heirloom quality pieces made for Kinnari by her mother. Jane is made from 100% hand-loomed silk with hand-embroidered floral details. The dress is fully lined in 100% cotton voile. Hand smocking at the bodice pairs beautifully with ruffle sleeves.
Introducing the Tulip Pintuck Dress in Coral Crossstitch. The Tulip, a staple in every Lali wardrobe, has been reimagined with playful pin tucks in the sleeves and at the hem. A pretty silhouette in this Spring’s border stripe is made of 100% cotton and fully lined. Gentle elastic at each long sleeve creates a sweet ruffle at each wrist. Gathering at the neckline adds extra detail. The Tulip also includes floral embroidery at the hem of the dress and sleeves, as well as a mother of pearl button closure at the back.

The Claudette Dress in Coral Crossstitch is a classic Lali silhouette. Claudette is made from custom woven 100% cotton in medium weight. Her bodice is lightly gathered around the front and back neckline, as is her waist. Functional mother-of-pearl buttons adorn the front of the garment for easy opening and closure. Claudette’s two pockets are complete with floral embroidery and scallop details, perfect for collecting spring treasures.
The Clara Romper in Coral Crossstitch is a new Lali staple. Clara is inspired by nurse’s uniforms from the 1960s, as well as Kinnari’s school uniform. The Clara Romper is simple, practical and beautiful. This playful piece is medium-weight, made from 100% custom woven cotton. Generous leg holes allow for ease of movement. 2 large pockets encourage treasure collecting! Functional mother-of-pearl button closures adorn the front-center of the garment.
