Bebe Organic : Beautiful and Unique

We were thrilled to welcome Bebe Organic to Junior Edition this year, such a beautiful brand that fits so perfectly with our ethos.

Bebe Organic was founded back in 2014 by mother of two and MA graduate of London College of Fashion, Birgit Kadak whose desire to create a range of original, organic childrenwear was driven by the struggle to find suitable clothing for her first-born child who had been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis, an extremely sensitive skin condition.

Mainstream fashion is laden with synthetic materials and hazardous chemicals that can have a dreadful impact on sensitive young skins whilst natural alternatives can often be super simplistic in design. We're a huge advocate of simple basics and carry many examples across our shop but beautifully unique, organic alternatives are where Bebe Organic really excel.

The fabrics that are used to create their collections are locally sourced and ethically produced in Portugal. Organic cottons and linen, wool and recycled materials are used to create their garments together with a completely natural, 100% chemical-free, dyeing process that has completely revolutionised the traditional (and harmful) dyeing methods more commonly used.

The brand's research into processes and technologies that will help further reduce environmental impact is ongoing, Bebe Organic's commitment to sustainability and providing safer choices both for children's skin and the earth is tangible and we are so proud to partner with them.

Like most of our brands, Bebe Organic create two collections a year, produced in limited numbers by small, family-run factories in Portugal. Every aspect of each design is closely scrutinised ahead of going into production with the greatest of attention being paid to detail and comfort. These are garments that are built to last and intended to be passed down.

The SS21 collection Feeling Nature uses the lightest structured organic cottons, and softest natural linens, featuring nostalgic prints and checks and the most exquisite crochet style knitwear. 

Super soft organic cotton separates and one pieces for babies feature pretty detailing from ruffle collars to a pointelle knit and attention to detail includes the removal of tags inside the garment that so often irritate and rub sensitive skins.

As ever, vintage influences can be keenly felt. There are signature romantic flower prints, embroideries and lace all with a modern twist. Beautiful dresses, so rich in detailing and the incredible Silvia crochet pieces (which come as a dress, jumper, romper and bonnet) have to be seen to be believed!
