Apolina: Our AW24 Preview
The brand new collection from Apolina launches next Thursday 26th September. A homage to craft that plays on their love of patchwork and embroidery, this season is a story of layering and cosy, eclectic styling. Folk inspired florals to be mixed and matched in your own way.
We have selected 17 stunning styles that we know you're going to fall in love with and are delighted to share a first look at our beautiful AW24 edit with you.
The beautiful vintage-inspired Aline shirtdress is crafted in the cabin quilt floral print in cream featuring hand smocking in ‘sage green’ at chest, cuffs and pockets. A versatile, button-through shirt style dress that evokes classic story book style. We love her worn as a dress with tights, or worn unbuttoned over dungarees or jersey layers.
New for this season, the sweet Annika dress is made in the ‘cabin quilt floral’ print. Featuring an embroidered Peter Pan collar, ‘desert rose’ piping details, a double bow at neckline, and pockets for little necessities. Just so pretty.
The much-loved Bette button-through blouse makes a very welcome return! One of our most popular styles, Bette has a swingy smock silhouette with pinch smocking and pleat work at the chest. Crafted in a soft pink cotton with folk-inspired fawn and chocolate toned embroidery, her sweet contrasting sailor collar in almond is decorated to front and back, and trimmed with hand crochet stitch.
Another stunning new style this season, the Cara dress gives a nod to the 1960s. Crafted in this season’s retro-inspired woodland floral woven cotton, we love the cute swing silhouette. Featuring a contrast Peter Pan collar with tonal embroidery and sweet cuff frills for a fancy touch, the Cara is designed for special occasions. We love her layered with our Collegien tights or socks and Pepe shoes for that perfect party look.
A pretty and versatile blouse, the Cora comes in folk floral blue mist and this season’s woven ‘worker check’. Featuring a contrast embroidery on the collar and a ric rac trim to the collar, placket and cuffs that brings a modern vintage mood. Cora’s peplum hem gives a sweet shape that layers perfectly over jersey leggings. I don't envy anyone trying to choose between the two, both are equally beautiful!
With a classic English smock reference, the Hazel blouse is a practical yet beautiful piece. Crafted from a folk floral print cotton with hand smocking at chest, it boasts pretty floral embroidery to the contrast collar, and a hand crochet trim. The swingy silhouette of the Hazel lends itself well to being paired with jersey leggings, a comfortable and easy-to wear outfit with an extra special touch.
The vintage-inspired Hazel tunic comes in that beautiful sage woven worker check. Featuring signature hand smocking at chest and an embroidered collar with hand crochet edging at collar and cuffs, the Hazel is a casual but pretty everyday dress with pockets at the side seams.
If it is possible to have a favourite style in a collection as exquisite as this one is, mine might well be the stunning button-through Lana shirt. Giving a nod to one of the starting points for the season’s inspiration - 1950s Western cinema, this gorgeous shirt is available in either Almond/Eau de Nil or Caramel/Pink Sand. Featuring statement contrast embroideries and piping at the collar, chest and cuffs this is my wardrobe must-have for the season ahead.
A new take on an early classic Apolina style, the Mara shirtdress features pretty mixed print panelling in the season’s cabin quilt floral and folk floral prints, finished with a contrasting desert rose collar and frills. A button-through shirt style dress, we love Mara’s dusky pinks paired with contrast tights or jersey leggings.
The sweet Merle dress has a retro swing silhouette, her all over floral motif embroidery highlights her eau de nil base, while her special contrast hem has a statement border floral embroidery in tonal colours. Featuring a contrast Peter Pan collar with hand crochet trim, and tie neck. The Merle looks great layered over trousers or jersey layers for the prettiest cosy style.
EVERYONE is talking about the updated version of Apolina's much-loved Mia dress. This statement style showcases a beautiful new meadow floral embroidery in soft pink, vintage blue and sage green tones. Crafted in almond rustic cotton and finished with hand smocking at chest and scallop embroidery at hem, Mia’s pretty folk mood makes her a special choice for any occasion.
The pretty Myra blouse comes in desert rose cotton. Featuring subtle rose toned embroidery to her contrast opera style collar and sweet embroideries at pockets and cuffs. This gorgeous blouse is finished with hand crochet stitch and scallop embroidery details.
The lovely new Nola dress comes in this season’s folk floral print. This beautiful printed cotton twill has the feel and weight of a denim dress, making it perfect for everyday adventures. Featuring hand smocking at the chest, hand crochet edges and turn back cuffs. Nola’s blue mist colour-way brings a classic mood and is easy to mix and match with a variety of layers.
The final piece in our 17 style edit this season is another new one for AW24. The Penelope dress is crafted in pink sand cotton-linen, featuring statement folk-inspired tapestry embroidery in warm, pink autumnal tones. The slim fit upper body and voluminous sleeves create a sweet vintage silhouette with a hand crochet trim, just beautiful and bringing all the autumnal feels!
We hope you like our selection again this season and look forward to you joining us for the launch next Thursday 26th September.
