Re-Metacil Recycled Pencil by Sun-Star Japan. The Re-Metacil pencil is a revolutionary award-winning pencil from Sun-Star. Its body is crafted from recycled materials containing approximately 40% waste material that comes from crushed and recycled waste produced within Japan - cinders, oysters, eggshells and scallops - and these are reflected in the pencil colours. Its core boasts a unique alloy that contains graphite for smooth writing and allows for a 16km long straight line to be written without having to sharpen the pencil as the lead wears down very little. It's also ideal for fast writing, as you can concentrate on simply writing without interruption. It can be erased just like a regular pencil, but will not bleed even when painted over making it ideal for sketching watercolour paintings and illustrations.

Available in 4 colours: Cinder Block, Oyster Shell, Egg Shell and Scallop Shell.

How does it work? The core is made of a special core that contains graphite and metal, and when writing, friction with the paper creates graphite and metal particles that adhere to the paper, creating handwriting. It's a completely new writing instrument that looks like a pencil but is different from a pencil. The core is about as dark as a 2H pencil. Please handle the tip with care, as it may be fragile. We recommend using it on paper for the best writing experience.
