The Simple Folk was started by two mothers and friends Jamie Morea and Abigail Brown. Both had been on a similar journey that had awakened them to the beauty of gentle parenting, minimalism, free play, natural and organic materials, and eco-friendly living. Together they created a brand that reflected their lifestyle and philosophy - versatile, timeless pieces that were luxuriously soft, practical, pattern-free, made with non-toxic fabrics and dyes, and created in an environmentally and socially conscious way. All clothing is handmade with love in Portugal in an eco-friendly factory using green energy and sustainable practices. Artisans are paid fairly and honoured and respected, enjoying all of the perks associated with their esteemed profession, including ample breaks and private health care.
