Engel is a family owned company which has been manufacturing underwear and clothing for 85 years in Germany. In 1982 the company started to concentrate on natural textiles in an exemplary and consistent way, and today Engel continue to focus on clothing that is kind to skin and the environment.
All Engel clothing is produced in Germany, using renewable raw materials for their garments such as organic cotton, organic merino virgin wool and silk. All dyes used are free from heavy metals and harmful AZO-dyes, and materials used are nickel-free, with all Engel buttons made from natural, renewable raw materials. The entire garment production process avoids the use of substances that are harmful to health or the environment. Waste is avoided wherever possible and their sustainable production concept also includes using renewable energy sources, such as solar and hydraulic power.
