As we excitedly await a TWO DAY HEATWAVE here in Brighton, deep down we all know it'll be wet again before the week is out and April is of course renowned for its showers. The Easter school holidays are often a bit of a wash-out but if this last year has taught us anything, its how to get outside and make the most of what's around us and, I have to admit we really have been on some lovely outdoors adventures during the pandemic that might otherwise have passed us by.

'These Days' is the very latest collection from Fairechild and we've expanded our selection this season due to popular demand. There are some exciting new styles as well as colours and our product range now includes hats, backpacks and fannypacks as well as coats and trousers.
The Beach Rose colour is absolutely gorgeous and I think my favourite of the season. The Midi Coat is one of Fairechild's most popular pieces and is reminiscent of the classic raincoat style. It has an above-the-knee hemline to help cut wind chill with raglan sleeves and deep side pockets that are perfect for tucking little hands in and (more importantly) storing gathered treasures! Like all of their products it is 100% recycled, waterproof, windproof, machine washable, breathable, mud AND dirt repellant!!!
Their fantastic waterproof trousers are available in three styles. The Trouser Rain Pant which comes in Spruce and Red Oak from 2-4 to 10-12 years is an easy to pull on and off style with a high elasticated waist and adjustable buckle. The Rain Pants come in that gorgeous Red Oak colour again, this style has adjustable suspenders and stirrups, and starts at a slightly younger 1-2 years. These pants are made to grow with you child and should last for up to 3 years - a truly excellent investment! And finally, the fisherman dungarees in Spruce and Beach Rose that provide underarm to ankle coverage for the most of adventurous of explorers! These also start at 1-2 years and go up to 8-10 years.
We've introduced several hat styles this season - the sailor cap that comes in spruce and red oak and the sou'wester (don't you just love that word!) that is available in the beach rose and red oak. Both styles offer excellent wet weather protection together with bags of style and fit from approximately 3 to 10 years.
And finally the fanny packs, available in four seasonal shades, brilliant for storing all kinds of essentials, from forest forages to beach finds or perhaps to hold a mid morning snack. These come with an adjustable hip strap so works well with all ages.
