In order to become the leader of the pack, lions must win a duel. The larger their mane, the more respect they are shown by their rival. But not only does it look breath-taking – it also protects the animals from serious injuries on their heads and necks.

The dyes used are optimally adapted to the different types of plastic and demonstrate top-rate mechanical and chemical resistance.  They ensure the high durability of Schleich products and make all Schleich pieces saliva and sweat proof as well as abrasion-resistant, and thus ensure that they are completely safe for playing with. Only once a product meets fully all international laws, standards and guidelines for toys is it released for production.  All Schleich articles and materials comply with the national and international toy requirements applicable worldwide, as well as the new European Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC and DIN EN 71.
