New Collection: Bobo Choses Growing Young - The Catalogue of Marvellous Trades
There has been SO MUCH buzz around the new Bobo Choses AW20 collection and there's absolutely no denying that when I first laid eyes on this season I let out an audible gasp, this is Bobo at their absolute finest!
The adult collection is first out of the traps this season so you can spoil yourself before indulging the kids.....The Catalogue of Marvellous Trades is a celebration of creativity, possibility and freedom and it's a little bit amazing!
If you were to imagine a book containing both possible and the impossible trades, all melded into one you will find yourself at the very heart of this collection - ask your kids what their fantasy job would be and I guarantee they will come up with some absolute corkers - we have a Candy Floss Flavour Creator here (which involves a lot of taste testing apparently).
We have selected our favourite 31 pieces from the Adult collection with sizes ranging from extra small all the way through to large that we hope you'll love as much as we do, featuring some of the same prints and shapes as you'll see in the kids collection next week with a grown-up twist.
The collection encompasses tees, sweatshirts, shirts, blouses, trousers, culottes, overalls, outwear, skirts and some pretty sensational dresses. The marvellous trades long dress in midnight navy is stunning - floor length and guaranteed to turn heads. I'm also a big fan of the shirt dress in olive branch, simple, easy to wear and great for all body shapes, you don't HAVE to wear it with wellies ; )
The shadows print is gorgeous and comes on dark and light backgrounds. The shirt in brown rice seen below is stunning and can be paired with the woven skirt in the same colour for a fabulous top to toe look. It also looks AMAZING with jeans, as does the shadows jumper in midnight navy. This is my must-have print from the collection and I've kept one of the wrap woven dresses in twilight blue for myself (amongst other pieces I must confess.....I want it ALL this season!)
If, like me, much of your week is spent in jeans the tees and sweatshirts this season may well prove to be wardrobe essentials. We have long and short t-shirts and some really fabulous sweatshirts covering all kinds of marvellous trades from cloud sculptor to translator of unwritten books and moon supervisor to collector of beautiful words....
When it turns cold (which here in the UK is basically anytime now) we have some super cosy outerwear. There is a cuddly sheepskin bomber which is almost making me will the winter weather here and the amazing reversible padded coat that you'll never want to take off, its one of those coats that consumes you.....in a really good way!
