1+ In The Family was launched in Autumn 2012 by Gemma Mases, mum of three children, a long experienced designer and lover of children’s fashion. The brand launched at the same time as the birth of the designer's niece, little baby Bruna. Gemma says that the brave decision of her sister to start a family as a single mother encouraged her to undertake the project that she had been dreaming for so long, that’s why she decided to name the brand 1+ In The Family.
The collection reflects Gemma's passion for searching new textures and the softest fabrics to create a different and versatile collection to dress babies from 1 to 48 months old. The careful fabric selection is her main source of inspiration, to create comfortable, functional and simple designs, and offering endless possibilities to mix and match. Design and manufacturing takes place entirely in Barcelona, and is part of the brand's commitment to ethically produced clothing and all families who trust in this beautiful brand.
