Welcome to Weekend House Kids!
We are delighted to reveal, and give a warm welcome to, our first new brand of 2021, the marvellous Weekend House Kids!
Weekend House Kids was established in 2018, in Mataró, a small sea town North of Barcelona with the intention of designing and creating a premium quality children's clothing with a quintessential Mediterranean feel. As a brand they are committed to responsible and environmentally conscious manufacturing and proudly put awareness about the planet we live in first. Their collections too are very much inspired by the natural world, with flora and animals woven into their collections in the most charming of designs.
Their SS21 collection A Place In The Sun takes its inspiration from the Hotel La Colombe d’Or, nestled in the sweet town of Sant-Paul de Vence in the Provence countryside. If you were to take a look at old guest books there you would find signatures from a host of figures, such as Picasso, Miro and even Charlie Chaplin who has added a comic self portrait alongside his name.
For their Spring/Summer collection Weekend House Kids have created their own guest list of fantastic characters for their place in the sun that includes Mr. Bohemian, The Blue Gentleman and the monocled Mr. Flamingo. These wonderful characters are available across a host of garments including tank tops, tees and sweatshirts.
Meeting them at hotel reception is a beautiful flower, who says “Can I help you?” A curly doggy (my personal favourite!) helps them take their luggage to their rooms, all of which overlook the swimming pool with swan floater, but which character will make it down to the pool first? One thing is for sure, after their stay, the tall curly green tree in the courtyard, will simply say “Thank you!”
Sitting alongside this charming collection of characters you will find shorts in several styles from soft pastels through to gingham and long pants in the loveliest dots. It's a collection that is undeniably cute but also practical and wearable, if you like Bobo you will love Weekend House Kids.
All Weekend House Kids clothes are made with certified organic cotton GOTS and a special garment pigmentation process, using production processes with a high end of social and ethical criteria. We are stocking sizes from 2-12 years as the demand to dress your older children grows and having just brought several pieces myself can vouch for the quality - well made and just beautifully soft.
